Market Report – Q3 2016 – Salt Lake County
The 3rd quarter statistics indicate a very robust market for those of us lucky enough to live, work and invest in the Salt Lake City area.
We had a very strong 4% appreciation rate per year and experienced the highest pricing ever in the Salt Lake City area.
Year to date our sales volume is up 19% and 29% in Sept. alone.
The median price for a residential home is $300,000. And that is an increase of 5%.
Mortgage rates are lower than last year, we are experiencing historically low rates still at 3%.
We expect the 4th quarter to finish just as strong if not stronger.
